Law Enforcement
In a sense, we owe our existence, and ensuing success in other industries, to law enforcement. In 2004, the police department in Independence, Ky., a short drive from Cincinnati, hired us to buy and implement evidence tracking software. Their needs focused on data collections, reports and chain-of-custody for evidence. As technology became more ingrained in the everyday work of police departments, case history and chain of custody grew easier to navigate. Our software allowed law enforcement agencies to track every piece of evidence, from the initial log-in to the conclusion of the case. Which officer did what? When? And why? We basically eliminated guesswork and inefficiency. Our success with our first foray into police tracking software brought more of the same, from coast to coast. Today, many departments employ mobile data units in their squad cars, so every bit of information is as close as the officer's console.
